The Top Grow Box 100% NATURAL is a complete organic nutrient kit by Plagron that covers every stage of your cannabis grow cycle — from early veg through to harvest — in a single box. Designed for up to 1m² of growing space, it pairs five algae-based and plant-derived formulas so you never have to guess which bottle to grab next. If you want fully organic buds without juggling six different brand lines, this is the simplest route we know.
Five Plagron products, each with a specific job at a specific stage. Here's exactly what you get when you open the box:
| Product | Volume | NPK Ratio | Stage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alga Grow | 100ml | 4-2-4 | Vegetative growth |
| Alga Bloom | 1 litre | 3-2-5 | Flowering |
| Power Roots | 100ml | 0-0-2 | Root development (early stage) |
| Vita Race | 100ml | 0-5-8 | Foliar spray — vegetative and early bloom |
| Green Sensation | 100ml | 0-8-9 | Bloom booster — final flowering weeks |
Notice the ratio: you get a full litre of Alga Bloom but only 100ml of everything else. That's deliberate — flowering is the longest and most nutrient-hungry phase, so Plagron weighted the kit accordingly. The 100ml bottles of Alga Grow, Power Roots, Vita Race, and Green Sensation are concentrated enough to last a single 1m² cycle when dosed correctly.
Most growers who go organic end up with a shelf full of half-empty bottles from three different brands, none of which were designed to work together. The Top Grow Box 100% NATURAL solves that by keeping everything within Plagron's algae-based organic line. Every formula is built to complement the others, so the NPK ratios shift smoothly as your plants move from veg to bloom without sudden nutrient swings.
The backbone here is Plagron's Alga Grow and Alga Bloom — both derived from algae extracts, which break down gradually in the growing medium. That slow-release behaviour is what gives organic feeds their reputation for producing smoother-tasting flowers compared to synthetic salts. You won't see the explosive overnight growth you'd get from a mineral feed, but what you will see is steady, healthy development and dense buds with proper terpene profiles.
Power Roots (NPK 0-0-2) is the one you'll use earliest. It stimulates root mass during the first weeks, which sets the foundation for everything that follows. Vita Race (NPK 0-5-8) is a foliar spray — you mist it directly onto the leaves during veg and early bloom to deliver phosphorus and potassium through the stomata. Green Sensation (NPK 0-8-9) is your bloom finisher, loaded with phosphorus and potassium to push flower density and resin production in the final weeks.
We've sold hundreds of these kits over the years, and the single most common mistake is overfeeding. Because the box contains five separate bottles, first-time growers sometimes assume more products means more of each product. It doesn't. Plagron's included feeding schedule is calibrated in millilitres per litre of water, and those numbers are tight. Doubling up on Green Sensation in week six won't double your yield — it'll lock out calcium and give you crispy leaf tips.
The second thing worth knowing: Vita Race is a foliar spray, not a root feed. We see people dumping it into their reservoir alongside Alga Bloom. It still works to a degree, but you're wasting product and missing the point. Spray it on the leaves with a fine mister, ideally just before lights-off so the stomata are open and the droplets don't act as tiny magnifying glasses under your grow light.
One honest limitation — this kit is sized for a single 1m² grow cycle. If you're running a larger tent (say 120x120cm with 4-6 plants), you'll burn through the Alga Bloom litre before harvest and need a top-up. For bigger spaces, buying the individual Plagron bottles in larger sizes makes more financial sense. But for a first grow or a compact setup, the Top Grow Box is the most straightforward way to get started with organic feeding.
The box includes a printed feeding schedule from Plagron with week-by-week dosages. Follow it closely — organic nutrients are less forgiving of overdosing than synthetics because the microbial breakdown process can't be flushed out as quickly. Here's the general sequence:
| Specification | Detail |

Complete your setup: pair this nutrient kit with Plagron Lightmix or Plagron Growmix soil for the best results — both are designed to work with Plagron's organic feed line and provide the right base EC for these concentrations. If you're still setting up your grow space, the Dark Box Tent 80x80 gives you exactly the 1m² footprint this kit is calibrated for.
You could absolutely buy each Plagron product individually. Alga Grow, Alga Bloom, Power Roots, Vita Race, and Green Sensation are all available as standalone bottles in various sizes. The advantage of the Top Grow Box is simplicity and proportion — Plagron has pre-measured the volumes so nothing goes to waste on a single 1m² run. You don't end up with 900ml of Power Roots gathering dust because you only needed 100ml.
If you're running a larger grow or you already know you prefer heavier feeding in bloom, the individual bottles in 1L or 5L sizes give you more flexibility. But for a first organic cycle, the Top Grow Box removes the guesswork. We'd pick this over assembling a DIY nutrient shelf every time for a compact setup — it's just less faff.
Compared to Plagron's Top Grow Box 100% TERRA (which uses their mineral-organic Terra line), the 100% NATURAL version is fully organic. The TERRA kit works well too, but if clean organic growing is the goal, the NATURAL box is the one you want. The TERRA line is better suited to growers using Plagron's Lightmix soil who want slightly faster nutrient uptake.
Yes, for up to 1m² of growing space. The kit contains the right proportions of each product to take your plants from early veg through harvest. Larger grows will need additional Alga Bloom before the cycle finishes.
It works best with organic soil mixes like Plagron Growmix or Lightmix. Coco coir growers should look at Plagron's coco-specific line instead, as the buffering and calcium requirements differ significantly.
Follow the printed schedule included in the box — it specifies exact ml-per-litre doses for each week. Generally, you'll feed with every other watering during veg and every watering during peak bloom, but the schedule is your best guide.
NPK stands for nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) — the three primary macronutrients plants need. The numbers show the ratio of each. Higher nitrogen (like Alga Grow's 4-2-4) drives leaf growth; higher phosphorus and potassium (like Green Sensation's 0-8-9) drives flower production.
Organic nutrients in soil are more forgiving of pH fluctuations than hydroponic setups, but aiming for a pH between 6.0 and 6.5 in your feed water still helps. If your tap water is extremely hard or soft, a pH meter is worth the small investment.
Absolutely. Autoflowers follow the same nutritional stages — just compressed into a shorter timeline. Switch from Alga Grow to Alga Bloom when you see the first pistils appear, and introduce Green Sensation about 3-4 weeks before your expected harvest date.
The NATURAL version is fully organic, using algae-derived nutrients. The TERRA version uses Plagron's mineral-organic hybrid line, which offers slightly faster nutrient availability but isn't 100% organic. Go NATURAL if clean organic growing is your priority.
