Water pipes & bongs

The Kali Silicone Bong is a compact, near-indestructible water pipe from PieceMaker that delivers buttery-smooth hits through their proprietary Hex-TEK percolation system. At 21.5cm tall with a spill-proof travel cap, it's built for sessions at home and wherever the road takes you — without the anxiety of carrying glass.
The Kali ships in Miss Pinky — a bold pink colourway that's impossible to lose in a bag or on a cluttered table. PieceMaker's silicone holds its colour wash after wash, so it won't fade into a sad pastel after six months.

Complete your setup: Pair the Kali with a set of pipe cleaners and some isopropyl alcohol wipes for quick field cleaning. If you want a second piece for the house, the PieceMaker Klutch Silicone Mini Bong is even more pocket-sized, while the K9 Silicone Water Pipe offers a larger chamber for bigger sessions at home.
Glass bongs sound great until you hear that sickening crack inside your rucksack. We've had customers walk into the shop holding a bin bag full of what used to be a perfectly good piece — sometimes within a week of buying it. The Kali silicone bong exists to solve that exact problem. PieceMaker's platinum-cured silicone flexes on impact instead of shattering, so dropping it off a table, knocking it over during a session, or cramming it into an overstuffed bag does precisely nothing to it.
The trade-off with most silicone bongs is the hit quality — they tend to produce fewer bubbles and a harsher draw compared to glass. PieceMaker addressed this directly with their Hex-TEK high perc downstem. The hexagonal percolation holes create noticeably more bubbles than a standard silicone downstem, which cools and filters the smoke more effectively. The result is a smoother, cooler inhale that genuinely surprised us the first time we tried it. It's not identical to a thick borosilicate piece with an ice catcher, but for a 21.5cm silicone bong, it punches well above its weight.
The honest limitation? Silicone does hold onto residual smell more than glass. After a few weeks of regular use, you'll want to give it a proper soak. The upside is you can be aggressive about it — boiling water, isopropyl alcohol, even tossing the silicone body in the dishwasher. Try that with your glass bong.
Three things separate the Kali from the dozens of generic silicone bongs floating around. First, the spill-proof cap. You can prepack the bowl, snap the cap on, and chuck it in a bag without worrying about water leaking everywhere or herb falling out. That's a genuine travel feature, not a gimmick — we've tested it upside down in a backpack.
Second, the removable and replaceable downstem. On cheaper silicone bongs, the downstem is moulded into the body. When it gunks up or cracks (and it will, eventually), the whole bong is finished. PieceMaker made both the downstem and the stainless steel bowl fully removable. When a part wears out after months of use, you replace the part — not the whole piece. That extends the lifespan of the Kali significantly compared to one-piece alternatives.
Third, the Hex-TEK percolation. Most silicone bongs use a simple open-ended downstem or a basic slit diffuser. The hexagonal perc pattern on the Kali creates a denser bubble field, which means more surface area for smoke-to-water contact. More contact equals cooler, smoother smoke. You can hear the difference — it has a satisfying, almost fizzy gurgle rather than the rough chug of a cheap silicone piece.
Compared to something like the PieceMaker Klutch, the Kali gives you a taller chamber (21.5cm vs the Klutch's more compact form), which means more room for smoke to cool before it reaches your lungs. If you want the absolute smallest option for pockets and festival bags, the Klutch wins. For a balance of portability and hit quality, we'd pick the Kali every time.
We've been selling smoking gear since 1999, and silicone bongs used to be a hard sell. The early ones were flimsy, tasted rubbery, and the hits were harsh. PieceMaker changed that conversation. The Kali is the silicone bong we actually hand to sceptics in the shop because the hit quality converts them. It weighs almost nothing — you can feel the difference the moment you pick it up compared to even a small glass piece. The silicone has a firm, slightly grippy texture that doesn't feel cheap, and the Miss Pinky colourway is genuinely eye-catching without being tacky.
One thing we always mention: don't use a torch lighter directly on the silicone. The bowl and downstem are designed to handle heat, but a jet flame aimed at the silicone body will eventually degrade it. Stick to regular lighters or hemp wick and you'll get years out of this piece. We've seen Kalis come back into the shop after 2+ years of daily use still looking and functioning well — that's the kind of durability that justifies choosing silicone over glass for your everyday driver.
Yes. PieceMaker uses platinum-cured silicone, which is the same food-grade material used in baking moulds and kitchen utensils. The bowl and downstem are stainless steel, so the flame never contacts the silicone directly during normal use.
Disassemble the downstem and bowl, then soak the silicone body in warm water with isopropyl alcohol for about 30 minutes. Rinse well and air dry. The stainless steel parts can be soaked separately. For stubborn residue, the silicone body is dishwasher-safe — just place it on the top rack.
The Kali is designed for dry herb use. The stainless steel bowl and Hex-TEK downstem are optimised for combustion, not vaporisation of concentrates. If you want a silicone piece for oils, look at the PieceMaker Kube Silicone Oil Bong instead.
It does. We've tested it upside down in a bag with water in the chamber — no leaks. That said, we'd still recommend emptying the water before travel. The cap is really best for keeping the packed bowl sealed and preventing herb from falling out during transport.
A glass tree or honeycomb perc will still produce finer diffusion overall. But the Hex-TEK is the best percolation system we've seen in a silicone bong — it creates a noticeably denser bubble pattern than standard silicone downstems, giving you a smoother, cooler hit than you'd expect from a piece this size and material.
Not with platinum-cured silicone. Cheaper silicone bongs can have a rubbery taste, especially when new, but PieceMaker's material is flavour-neutral from the first session. If you notice any taste at all, a quick pre-use rinse with warm water sorts it out.
It's one of the best options for a first bong, honestly. The 21.5cm size is manageable, the silicone means you won't destroy it while learning, and the Hex-TEK perc gives smoother hits than most entry-level glass pieces. Start here if you're not sure what you want yet.
