Water pipes & bongs
by Tsunami Glass
The Shower Head Swiss Dab Rig 11" is a dual-purpose borosilicate water pipe that handles both concentrates and dry herb with equal finesse. Built by Tsunami Glass — a brand we've stocked for years because their rigs actually hold up — this 11-inch piece sits in that sweet spot between tabletop stability and hand-held portability. The Swiss-style percolator body isn't just for show: those holes force smoke through multiple water contact points, cooling and filtering each hit before it reaches your lungs.
This rig comes in two variants. The Amber (HS2160) has warm, honey-toned accents on the mouthpiece and base — it catches the light nicely on a shelf. The Green (HS2159) is a deeper, forest-toned finish that hides water stains a touch better between cleans. Functionally identical, so pick whichever you'd rather look at every day.

We've handled a lot of rigs behind the counter over the past 25-odd years, and the pattern is always the same: people either buy something too small that tips over, or something too large that collects dust on a shelf because it's a pain to set up. At 11 inches, the Shower Head Swiss Dab Rig threads the needle. It's tall enough to deliver proper filtration — the smoke has to travel through water, then navigate those Swiss-style holes in the body — but compact enough to hold comfortably in one hand when you're on the sofa or out on the balcony.
The showerhead percolator is where this piece earns its keep. Water is forced through a disc of small slits at the base of the chamber, breaking your hit into dozens of tiny bubbles. More bubbles means more surface area in contact with water, which means cooler, smoother smoke. Then the Swiss body — that's the section with the large holes running through the middle — forces the smoke to path around the openings, adding a second stage of diffusion. The result: noticeably less throat burn compared to a straight-tube bong of the same size. You can actually taste your concentrates instead of just coughing through them.
The curved neck and flared mouthpiece are a small detail that matters more than you'd think. A straight neck means you're hunching over the rig or tilting it towards your face at an awkward angle. The curve on this one lets you sit upright and draw naturally. After a long session, your neck will thank you.
The fixed downstem means you can't swap it out for a different diffusion style. If the downstem chips or cracks internally, you're looking at replacing the whole rig rather than just a component. That said, fixed downstems tend to be sturdier than removable ones — fewer moving parts, fewer weak points. Just don't knock it against the side of the sink when you're cleaning it. We've seen more rigs die at the kitchen tap than anywhere else.
A Swiss perc gets its name from Swiss cheese — those distinctive holes running through the body of the rig. Smoke entering the chamber can't pass straight through these openings; it's forced to travel around them, creating a longer path through the water. Combined with the showerhead disc at the base — which splits your hit into fine bubbles through 8–12 small slits — you get double filtration in a single chamber. No stacking multiple percs, no added drag. The pull stays easy while the cooling stays effective.
For dabs specifically, this matters. Concentrates produce a denser, hotter vapour than dry herb. Without decent water filtration, a dab hit at high temperature can feel like swallowing sandpaper. The showerhead-plus-Swiss combination knocks the temperature down significantly before the vapour reaches your lips, letting you take bigger draws without the harshness. If you've been dabbing off a basic nectar collector or a small rig with no perc, the difference is immediately noticeable — smoother draw, cleaner flavour, less coughing.
Glass rigs taste best when they're clean — and the Swiss body design, while brilliant for filtration, does create a few extra nooks where resin likes to hide. Here's what works:
Complete your setup: If you're using this rig for dabs, pair it with a quartz banger and a butane torch — the banger preserves terpene flavour far better than a titanium nail. For dry herb sessions, a decent grinder makes a real difference to airflow and burn consistency. And keep a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and some coarse salt on hand — a clean rig is a happy rig.
If you're weighing this rig against a basic straight-tube bong, here's the practical difference. A straight tube with no percolator gives you a fast, direct hit — nothing wrong with that, but the smoke is hot and unfiltered beyond whatever the water in the base does. The Tsunami Shower Head Swiss Dab Rig runs your smoke through a showerhead disc (stage one) and then around the Swiss perforations (stage two). Two filtration stages in a single 11-inch package. You get cooler, smoother hits without the drag penalty that comes with stacking multiple percs in a tall beaker bong.
Compared to a recycler rig — which continuously cycles water between two chambers — the Swiss design is simpler to clean and less prone to clogging. Recyclers look spectacular in action, but the internal tubing is a nightmare to scrub. The Swiss body has open holes you can actually reach with a brush. If low-maintenance matters to you, this is the better call.
| Feature | Shower Head Swiss Dab Rig 11" | Basic straight-tube bong |
|---|---|---|
| Height | 11 inches | Varies (10–18 inches typical) |
| Percolation stages | 2 (showerhead + Swiss body) | 0–1 (water base only) |
| Smoothness of hit | Noticeably smooth, low throat burn | Hotter, harsher on large draws |
| Ease of cleaning | Moderate — Swiss holes need soaking | Easy — straight tube, no obstructions |
| Dual-use (dabs + herb) | Yes, with appropriate attachment | Usually herb only |
| Portability | Good — hand-held or tabletop | Depends on size |
Yes. The Shower Head Swiss Dab Rig 11" works with concentrates when fitted with a quartz banger or nail, and with dry herb when fitted with a standard glass bowl. Just swap the attachment to switch between the two.
Tsunami Glass typically uses a 14mm female joint on this model. Check the joint on any banger or bowl you're buying to make sure it's a 14mm male fitting. If in doubt, drop us a message before ordering.
Fill until the showerhead slits are submerged by about 1–2 cm. Blow gently through the mouthpiece to check — you want even bubbling without water reaching your lips. Overfilling kills the percolation effect and sends water up the neck.
Not at all. Smaller rigs (6–8 inches) concentrate flavour more intensely, but 11 inches gives you better cooling and filtration — especially with the dual percolation in this piece. It's a solid middle ground between a portable mini rig and a full-sized bong.
Very little. The Swiss holes are large enough that airflow isn't restricted the way it would be with, say, a tree perc or honeycomb stack. The draw feels smooth and easy — you won't feel like you're sucking a milkshake through a coffee stirrer.
Change the water after every session. Do a full iso-and-salt clean once a week if you're using it daily. Concentrate residue builds up faster than dry herb resin, so dab-heavy users may want to clean every 3–4 days to keep flavour clean.
The base is wide relative to the height, so it's stable on a flat surface. That said, it's glass — don't leave it on the edge of a table or anywhere a cat can reach it. We've heard that story too many times.
