Most oil rigs are fragile. Glass-on-glass joints, thin downstems, wobbly bases — they're built for the coffee table, not for a backpack. The Kube takes a completely different approach. PieceMaker designed it from medical-grade silicone that flexes on impact instead of shattering. The cube shape isn't just for looks (though it does look properly unusual sitting on a shelf). It's functional: the flat top surface has individual recessed slots for the L-shaped glass downstem and bowl, the included dab tool, and PieceMaker's "Kontainer" — a small silicone pot for storing your concentrates. Silicone is forgiving but it does absorb odour over time if you neglect it. After each session, rinse the body with warm water. For a deeper clean every week or two, soak the silicone parts in a mix of warm water and isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher works best), then rinse thoroughly. The glass downstem and bowl can be soaked in isopropyl alcohol separately — a zip-lock bag with alcohol and coarse salt does the job in about 30 minutes. The stainless steel base just needs a wipe down. Avoid putting the glass components in the dishwasher; the silicone body is technically dishwasher-safe, but hand washing gives you more control.

If you clean it after each session and store it dry, odour is minimal. Silicone can absorb smells over time if residue builds up, so a weekly deep clean with isopropyl alcohol keeps it fresh. The sealed base helps contain any residual scent during transport.

Just enough to submerge the bottom of the downstem by 1-2cm. The cube shape means the water volume is smaller than a standard bong — overfilling leads to splashback through the mouthpiece. Less is more here.
