The PAX 3 Concentrate Replacement Set is an accessory kit containing one insert replacement lid and five o-rings, designed to keep your PAX 3 or PAX 2 vaporizer running smoothly when you're using concentrates. Losing an o-ring mid-session is the kind of minor disaster that ruins your evening — this set means you've always got spares on hand.
O-rings are the unsung heroes of your PAX concentrate setup. They create the airtight seal that stops vapour leaking out of the chamber and keeps your concentrates where they belong — inside the oven, heating evenly. When one cracks, dries out, or goes missing (and they do — they're tiny silicone rings that love rolling under furniture), your vapour production drops and you start wasting material.
We've seen customers come in frustrated because their PAX "stopped working properly" — nine times out of ten it's a degraded o-ring or a lost lid. The concentrate insert lid takes daily abuse: heat cycling, sticky residue, being pried off for cleaning. Over months of regular use, it wears. Having a replacement on hand means you're never stuck waiting for a delivery when your kit gives up on a Friday night.
The honest limitation here: this set only covers the concentrate insert components. If your half-pack lid or the flat mouthpiece needs replacing, you'll need those separately. But for concentrate users specifically, this is the kit that keeps you vaping without interruption.

A few things we've picked up from years of selling PAX gear and hearing back from customers. First: less is more with concentrates. The PAX 3 oven holds approximately 0.5g of dry herb, but for concentrates you want a fraction of that — think 0.1g or less. Overloading causes leaking, which is exactly what kills your o-rings faster.
Second: cleaning frequency matters. Sticky residue builds up on the lid and o-rings after every session. A quick wipe with isopropyl alcohol after every 3-4 uses keeps the seal intact and extends the life of your replacement parts. We'd recommend keeping a small jar of iso and some pipe cleaners next to wherever you store your PAX — makes it a 30-second job rather than a weekend project.
Third: temperature. The PAX 3 offers four heat settings. For concentrates, the higher two settings (around 204-215°C) produce the most vapour. Starting too low means your concentrate doesn't fully vaporise, leaving residue that gunks up the works. If you're getting thin, wispy draws, bump the temperature up before assuming something's broken.
The replacement lid has the same brushed stainless steel finish as the original — it's got a satisfying weight to it for something so small, and the machining is tight. No rough edges, no visible seams. The o-rings are soft, pliable silicone with a slight give when you press them — that's what you want. If your current o-rings feel hard or brittle when you pinch them, they're past their best and it's time to swap.
Compared to third-party o-rings you might find on marketplace sites, the official PAX replacements are dimensionally exact. We've seen generic o-rings that are 0.5mm too thick or too thin — enough to compromise the seal without being obviously wrong. For the price difference, stick with the official kit.
Complete your PAX maintenance setup with the PAX Cleaning Kit for deep-cleaning the oven and vapour path, or grab the PAX Half Pack Oven Lid if you prefer micro-dosing with dry herbs. If your mouthpiece is looking tired, the PAX Mouthpiece Replacement Set keeps everything fresh.
Yes. The concentrate insert lid and o-rings in this set are compatible with both the PAX 2 and PAX 3. The oven dimensions are identical across both models, so everything seats properly without modification.
With regular cleaning, o-rings last 3-6 months of daily use. If you notice vapour leaking from the oven, reduced draw resistance, or the rings look cracked or flattened, it's time. This set gives you five, so you're covered for well over a year.
This replacement set is specifically for the concentrate insert. For dry herb use, you don't need the concentrate insert at all — just load directly into the oven. If you need a replacement oven lid for dry herbs, that's a separate accessory.
Solid and waxy concentrates work best — think shatter, budder, crumble, or solid hash. Runny oils and liquids aren't suitable as they'll leak through the insert and damage the oven. Keep it to materials that hold their shape at room temperature.
Soak the lid in isopropyl alcohol (90%+) for 10-15 minutes, then wipe clean with a cotton bud. Remove the o-rings before soaking to prevent the alcohol degrading the silicone over time. Let everything dry completely before reassembling.
Yes. This is a genuine PAX accessory, not a third-party alternative. The materials and dimensions match the original components that ship with the PAX 3 Complete Kit.
